Weekend Adventures

Sunday is our day of rest after Saturday adventures.
Our first adventure was Shiloh's second visit to the library. We were their first, so we had a captive audience.

More kids came in as the afternoon progressed. He's actually looking like he had a good time. He has his own groupies now. Daddy has a good time too.

After we got home, dad decided it was time to take down the dead pear tree in the lawn as well as the sick peach tree. We played in the yard and mom decided to get some video of Misty for the Petfinder venue MaPaw uses.

Not too long after this video was taken, Misty apparently got into eating some of the butternut squash leaves from the garden. She didn't eat her breakfast that morning, so she may not have been feeling well. Well, she started to be sick and threw up some blood. Mom & Dad quickly went into action mode and took her to the Vet ER. They were gone a good long time. We were really worried, cuz they forgot to feed us dinner! It had to be bad if that happened. When they came back, Misty told us about visiting the the ER, and the doc gave her 3 shots. Ouch! But the shots helped her to feel better. And we finally got our dinner.

So, today we are all just taking it easy and sleeping a lot - especially mom & dad. Mom made us all some food that was easy on our tummies, cuz Guinness hasn't been feeling well either. We are crossing our paws and hoping Shiloh doesn't get the doggie flu as well. Misty is going to visit Dr. Don, our regular vet, on Wednesday to follow up and check out a lump on her hip. Too many vet visits! We need a vacation.

We sure hope Misty feels better soon!!!
Great pix and video. Is Shiloh a good reader? What kind of books does he like?
Hey, Guinness! How come you didn't play with Misty & Shiloh? Are you a referee like Amber? That's what she does when Zim and I play. She comes in every now and then to make sure we aren't playing too rough then goes back to whatever she was doing!
Luv,
Dave

Thanx, Dave. Shiloh is the best listener around, but isn't much into the reading. He definately has opinions about books tho!
Guinness is our referee, like Amber. She makes sure we all follow the rules and no one gets hurt. She hasn't learned about husky rules - hee hee

Too many V.E.T visits indeed! (mom & dad spell it out, like we don't know that when they start spelling we're not gonna like it!) Hope everyone starts feeling better soon, and Shiloh doesn't get whatever bug is biting your pack.
We got our new 'puter up and running, so we can finally go visit all our new friends, we haven't let mom up from the desk all day...

Wooo. What an active weekend. Shiloh taking care of things at the library (by the way, nice way to take care of checking out the underneath of the chairs - good way to do it and pretend you were resting). Poor Misty! Oh Woo. We hope she feels well as well Guinness (I have a special place in my heart for my fellow GSD) I hope you feel better fast.

Take care, Love Rocky

Oh, Rocky, we love you too! Don't let out my secret about the underside of furniture. We have a secret society. sshhh...And Misty has a special fondness for her Mati - those mixes have to stick together.

whoa that was some weekend. so what does it mean when dogs throw up blood? was it an infection?

Lisa, the vet thinks it was the butternut squash leaves she ate. Dogs eat greens outside when their tummies are upset. Squash have little stickers on them to help the vines crawl along and grab. They scratched at the lining of her tummy. So, she got anti-nausia shot, anti-biotics in case of infection (which loves an irritated stomach, and a pepsid like product to soothe her tummy while she heals.

We loved the vids, but we were so sorry that both my girfriends have been under the weather.

Hope you are both better.
