Cookies and more

Haroo everyone! Guinness Grrl reporting in again. Sorry that we haven't blogged in a while. Things have been very busy here at the Inn. Mom and I have been getting ready for the upcoming howliday by baking loads of cookies! As you can see here, mom made her favorites - Peanut Blossoms. The pretty flower shaped ones are deep fried Rosettes with powdered sugar sprinkled on them. She also made loads and loads of biscotti. Yummy! Though, I couldn't taste test most of them - chocolate is bad for us puppers.

Mom and I have also been very busy in the quilting studio. She is finished with her howliday sewing projects and is now turning to a new project. The center panel of the newest quilt is pictured here. Isn't it bewootiful?
Mom is taking time off of wrrrk to clean the Inn and get ready for the annual howliday party on Christmas Eve. She's gonna be cookin and cleanin her heart out. Shiloh and I help a lot by supervising and reminding mom that rest and romp breaks are needed often. If you are in our neighborhood on Christmas Eve, you're invited to the party! Stop on in, we'd love to see you!
If we don't see you, we hope that your howliday is special and everything that you want it to be.
Love & Snoses,
Guiness Grrl

Santa's Lil Helper

Haroo everyone. Guinness reporting in today with a pupdate on the doings of the Inn. Mom has been very busy with over 12 quilting projects for friends and family for the upcoming Christmas holiday. As you may know, I am her helper in the quilting studio, so it's been a lot of work. I'm worn out just thinking about all of those quilts that I helped mom baste.

She's also been making little tiny little totes for her grrlfriends and coworkers. Aren't they cute? I have to take a lot of breaks from helping these days, but mom says I'm still a lot of her to her in the studio. Shiloh likes to help too, when I"m on break. He gets the projects nice and hairy so people will know that we doggies love them too.
The weather has been rainy and gloomy here, so getting ready for the holidays has been our way of cheering up. Mom says that tree they get every year is on it's way this weekend, so I'll be helping with the positioning and consulting on the decorating. So much to do this time of year!
Haroo for now. Love & kisses,
Guinness Grrl.

Dog Sitting & Shiloh, the Great White Hunter

Hello, everyone. Mom reporting in here. Not much happening at the Stoutino Inn since Buster got adopted. We've gotten pupdates on him and he's settling in quite nicely with his new family. He even has a doggy door to go in and out as he pleases. Mo likes to take Buster on tours of the best places to sniff & pee.

We are taking a break from fostering for a while, but we do have a four legged visitor. We are dog sitting a friend's pup, Klondike. Here he is helping me check my email.

Klondike is an older dog, so he likes to take it easy and just relax. Perfect for us right now, so Guinness doesn't get knocked off of her wobbly feet. She's doing as well as she can to get around. Still getting up and down stairs and in and out without too much trouble.

Shiloh has been taking everything in stride too. Here he is, the Great White Hunter, with what is left of a toy we won in a gift basket from Hike n Howl. What you don't see in the picture is the little lion's stuffing all over the dining room floor.

That's the latest happenings here. Hope you are all doing well and have lots of fun stuff too.

Love, Mom Stoutino

Meet Buster's New Family

Haroo there! Meet my new family! This big boy is my new little brother, Mo. Foster mom calls him a great big goober. Here I am telling my new dad, John, what a good boy I am going to be for them.

Here is a better picture of dad John and Mighty Mo. Mo is a ham for the camera as you can tell- he's only four years old. I was out investigating my new yard - there is a doggy door at this house and I can go outside whenever I want too!

Here is a picture of my new big sister, Minerva. She's a year older than me at eleven and a very sweet grrl. She's asking dad if it's okay if I stay with her - isn't that nice? Mo had to stick his big nose in the picture though. I also have a new mom named Dawn, but foster mom forgot to take her picture - silly! She's a real nice lady and I think she's gonna be a great mom. I have already made myself right at home in this new house and really like it here.

I wanna say thanks to everyone for the great sibe vibes when I was sick and helping me fit into the Stoutino Inn. I'll keep in touch - I promise!

Love, Buster

Meet & Greet at Hike n Howl

Haroo everyone! Buster here again. Foster mom says that we're going to Hike N Howl on Saturday. It's a fund raising event for MaPaw and a couple of other husky rescues. AND I might get to meet some very special people there. Someone who may want me to be their dog furever! I sure hope that they are nice people. I'm getting all nervous just thinking about it. Maybe I'll let mom brush me down and stuff so I look just right. Maybe....
Keep your paws crossed that everything goes well, okay? Hopefully we'll have some good news about what happened very soon.

Discovery

Haroo everyone! It's me, Buster! I've made this great discovery. There is this soft and comfy place that I've been missing out on all of this time - the pomegranate couch! Guinness likes to think that it's hers to enjoy and she does love to sit up there. I've been avoiding the furniture for a while - not sure if I was allowed up there or not. But I tried it last night and mom discovered me there this morning. I didn't know what I was missing. Wow is it comfy! Don't I look all comfy? I think I really like it here. Good thing for Guinness that there is room for two.

Now, I wonder if I can make it up onto that big bed upstairs....

The Best News!

Hi, everyone - Mom here again. Buster is cancer free!!!! Those sibe vibes are amazing and they work, never doubt that. His tumor was caused by too much estrogen and the neuter fixed that, so he's all good to go now! We are so happy and I swear I saw a smile on Buster's face tonight. He knows we've been worried about him and he can tell how happy we all are. Thanks to everyone for their support.

We still have to do something about his anemia - that's what's driving him to eat rocks and dirt. Anyone know of any supplements?

Mom Stoutino
