Meet Jake - we call him the bear cuz he's a big ol' teddy bear. He loves to snuggle and give tender kisses. He has a low bear voice too. Jake is our current foster. He was really not liking that shelter, and after being with a family for 6 years, who'd blame him? He's a very good boy who just likes creatures more his own size. He gets on great with Shiloh & Guinness. He's not as playful as some pups, but he has his bouncy moments. He's a goofball at obedience school, but doing pretty well.
Cosmos was our very first foster for MaPaw, and he was a doozy! This poor guy was stinky from being at the shelter and very underweight - only 35 lbs. After a bath and trying to figure out what food would stick to his bones, he was a really good dog.
These folks are the Mullin's - they drove all the way from Pittsburgh to meet Cosi & introduce him to Gabi, their 6 month old puppy. Gabi really needed a playmate and Cosi fell in love with her at first site. They are all very happy now - it was definately worth the trip.
General was the first pup to enter Locenda di Bisbetica. A big boy, full of love and life, he needed a new home or he was going to be put into a shelter. He lived with us for a beautful 9 years until bone cancer took him from us. He was really the best dog ever.
Shiloh is our white Siberian Husky that we adopted from MaPaw Siberian Husky Rescue. He helped our hearts to heal after we lost our dear sweet General. He was so very shy and reluctant to love. But with patience and lots of hot dog treats, he is the star of doggy school! This picture was his first christmas with us. As you can see, he was the very best present!
Guinness is our black & tan German Shepherd girl, who is now a grand 8+ years old. She's dealing with being surrounded by huskies these days and wondering why the white dogs with blue eyes get all of the attention.
This is Guinness on her very first day with us - she was such a cutie!
