Comfort and Joy

We don't know how true this is.  However, this pup was supposedly a stray looking for a safe and warm place to sleep.

Hug all of your furchildren and hold them tight.

Deck the Halls

Haroo!  Shiloh here, with the Stoutino Inn annual tree trimming.  Here we are all ready to supervise and make sure that everything gets onto the tree in just the right place.  I don't usually like the idea of the tree coming into the house, because that means that lots of humans will soon be coming to my house.  But I do like the twinkly lights and stuff.
Um, Daddy, the Kong does not belong in the tree.  It belongs filled with peanut butter and given to me.

Really, Daddy, just hand over the Kong.

Mom, if this shows up on the blog or Facebook....
Geez.  What I have to put up with.

We hope that your howlidaze are better than this!

Oh No!

Haroo, all.  Shiloh here, from my crate.  See, mom & dad brought this tree into our house today.  You know what that means.  People are coming to invade our house!

Oh, they will first clean the place all over.  Then they will put up all these lights and decorations.  Then mom will cook all of this food and make the house all yummy smelling.  But then it happens!  They invade!  And they stay all day.  They make noise and try to pet me.  It's horrible!

so, I outsmart them.  I make myself very small inside my crate.  Sure, the very small people can try to come in with me.  But I am gentle with them.  I just stay there until a tall one makes them go away.

Genny loves this for some reason.  She says that it's fun and all of the people give her food if she gives them "the look."  I just do not understand her sometimes.  Can anyone out there save me?

Scott's New Family

Scott was adopted today my a wonderfully spoiling mommy and new sister, named Tasha.  Here they are, all getting to know each other.  Scott's the kind of guy who takes his time when in a new environment, so they will have to be patient with each other for a while.  And mom will have to give him lots of love, rubs, and peanut butter.

The other pictures are of Scott's new sister, Tasha.  This is her very favorite spot to hang out.  She is a very sweet and affectionate girl, even though she kind of looks unsure about things here.

Everyone will need some adjustment time, to be sure.  We know Scott is in very good hands, because his new mom has adopted from MaPaw in the past.

Wolf Sanctuary of PA

Hello everyone. Mom here. The pups were nice enough to let me have a spot on the blog today to report on our very exciting outing.  Dad and I went with some friends on a Full Moon Tour at the Wolf Sanctuary of PA in Lititz, PA.  What a wonderful place.  Of course, they wouldn't let us take our pups, as it would be very upsetting to the wolves.

The moon was in all of it's glory and it was a crist cold night.  The animals, as you can see, were beautiful.  They were very docile and you could tell they respected the staff at the sanctuary.  Except for their enormous size, it would be difficult to tell tham a part from the huskies we help rescue.

I believe they told us this guy here may be a hybrid with a malamute.
The big grey boy here is named Frodo.  What a hugga-head!

Thanks to my pups for letting me show you the wolves.

Love,
Mom

What a weekend!

Hello there. Scott here and I must say that I have had the most excellent weekend. Fabulous fall weather we're having in southeast Pennsylvania - crisp and sunny.

Here I am in all of my bronze glory at the Fido Fest, in Salem County, NJ on Saturday. A lovely, albeit windy, day was had by all.

This young man is Dash. He has the advantage of youth and small stature to lure the crowds away from me, especially the pretty girls. But he is a well behaved young chap so I shall forgive him.

That was until this young whipper snapper came along. All of the women just ohhhed and ahhhhed all over him. It was just embarrassing. And then he played into their hands by kissing them!

Thank goodness it was time to come home soon after that. At least the weather was lovely.

Today was much better. My foster bother, sister and I all went to the lovely wooded dog park. Genny gets to play catch to her heart's content. Shiloh sniffs and plays at being the Great White Hunter, whist I enjoy the air and amaze everyone with my bronze magnificence.

We all hope that you had a good weekend as well.
Well, I am off to recover from all of my excursions.

Cheerio!
Scott

Hi There!

Hey there puppers! Genny checkin in with you all today. Wow, has it been a really long time since we've blogged with all of our furry friends. We are so sorry to have neglected you! Our secretary - Mom - got a new job earlier this year and everything has gone to pot. But we wanted you all to know that we are still here, going to the dog park, and hanging out with our new foster friend, Scott.

Scott is a mellow sort of dude, who enjoys sniffing and being zen. He really takes each moment and relishes every second. However, he does like to share his observations with anyone who will listen. He's quite a chatty fellow for one so mellow - hee hee.

He came to our Inn because his owners were moving into an assisted living facility - and can you believe they do not allow dogs! How absurd! We assist with all sorts of things! I especially like to assist in the kitchen...but back to Scott.

Our new foster bro has had a hard adjustment to life at the Inn. He's never had to live with other doggies before. He wasn't quite sure what to make of things here, but Shiloh and I have been showing him the ropes and he's doing just fine now. And we hear that a potential adopter is already interested in him!

Mom says she's sorry about the picture quality - her fancy new iPad doesn't take such great pictures sometimes.

Anywoo, we promise to check in more often and claw mom if she lets things go on for too long.

Love and kisses,
Genny

Party time!

Hi pup friends! Genny here to tell you all about the party we had at our house. Lots of our favorite humans came over to eat lots of food. Some even shared with us! When it got dark outside, they had a fire and roasted what they called marshmallows - those are are the fluffy white things on the ends of the sticks. They, for some reason, didn't want to share these with us doggies, though I gave them the best mind meld I could give. the best thing about the party is that my bestest friend, Isabeau, came too! She is sooo much fun. Shiloh doesn't like parties as much as we do, so you don't see him in the pictures. We sure had enough fun for him though!

Saturday in the Park with .....

Haroo, all you cool pups. Shiloh here, filling you in on our crazy Saturday adventures. first, I must ask if you recognize our visitor in the middle of the crazy pack from the dog park? That's right, it's Miss Daisy! She's visiting us for the weekend and it is such a nice day that we just had to take her to our favorite place. She always loved the park as much as Genny and I do. We met a lost of fun friends today, such as the pair of chocolate lab pups, a beagle dude, and the silly border collie mix that's up on the human bench.

Here's my sis Genny chasing Darwin the beagle. She loves to play chase and Darwin can run for days. Maybe he has some husky in there somewhere?

Here I am, in all of my awesome alphaness, showing your Charlie pup who's in charge. Darwin is helping me with his senior wisdom.

Daisy, Genny and I had a great time at the park and it showed on the way home. Here is Daisy chillin out in the Stoutino mobile on the way home. We stopped by another fav place, the pet store! Daddy said we needed to load up on our favorite cookies - bacon and cheese!

Dad also got me a surprise - Lambchop! Now, I usually don't play with toys, but Lambchop is soft and cuddly and extra squishy, so I thought I should take her and inspect before anyone got to her. Dad got some other stuff for Genny, and she proceded to give her toy a squeekectomy right away. But Lambchop is all mine!

Hope you all have a great weekend and we'll bark at ya soon.

Haroo!
Shiloh

GPS

Howdy, pups! It's Genny. One of my jobs at the Stoutino Inn is as GPS - Genny's Positioning Service. Here I am in action, helpin Mommy find her way to the dog park. I have to be sure she goes the right way, otherwise she makes a wrong turn and we end up at the VET! So, I am designated co-pilot when we all go out to be sure she doesn't stray.

So glad that we made it! It was such a nice day at the park. Lots of sniffs to sniff and not too hot.

See ya later, pups!
Love, Genny

Genny, Quilt Model

Hi, everypup! Genny here. Here's my mommy's latest quilty project. I am helping to show it off to it's best advantage. Aren't I a big helper? Mommy calls this technique Free Motion Raw Edge Applique. She says that you cut the forms out like snowflakes, glue baste them down and them free motion quilt all over everything. I don't know what she's really talking about, but I like the pretty bright colors. And I wanted to be in the picture cuz I like pretty things.

Have a colorful day!

Love,
Genny

Vicky's furever family

Vicky is now the official chick magnet for these two handsome gentlemen.
She is settling in nicely, teaching them all about how nice it is to have a woman in the house.
We miss her already, but we know she is in good hands and having fun.

Strike a pose

Makes you wonder what we're up to, doesn't it?

Hey, Genny. What's the square root of....huh?

Welcome Victoria!

This is Victoria! She's the newest foster at the Stoutino Inn. A GSD/Husky mix that has bi-eyes, a snow nose and very soft, white fur. As you can see, she's making herself right at home...on mommy's bed. She's very playful and loving. Mom thinks her name should change though - she doesn't know it yet - she was a stray when they found her. Someone is bound to fall in love with her right away, that's for sure!
