Shiloh's Debut

It's the dog days of summer reading at mommy's library. Shiloh made his debut as an official Roll Over and Read dog and he did grrrrreat! You could tell he wasn't quite sure at first what was happening, but Dad stayed right by his side and all of his dog friends from school were there to show him the ropes.

Fegus is the Irish Wolfhound - mommy calls him her boyfriend cuz he likes to giver her kisses. But Fergus fell in love with a new admirer this week. Lil' Seymour the border terrier is a pro at listening to kids read. He brough his new lil' bro, Pepe the French Bulldog. Pepe looked like he's been doin this his whole life!

Looks like a great time. Is this an annual thing you guys do at the library?

Once a month the dogs come to visit on a Saturday for acouple of hours. Kids from the Pathway School - a local school for special needs kids, get their own hour, then 2 hours for our other patrons

What helpful doggies. I help mom read books to the little biped every night before bed....then I give her lots of goodnight kisses!

Oh Wow! What a fun thing you got to do Shiloh. Maybe you could ask some of your little friends what they would put in a time capsule next time you are with them.

You are awesome, Shiloh. Way to overcome your own anxiety to help those kids.

Woo - great going Shiloh, you did great! I think us furry fellows know to be more gentle with "special" people. Once while mommy & daddy were riding their horses, a van pulled up & the driver asked them if they could meet & touch the horses. There were about 4 "special" kids in the van. Mommy said that it was a great feeling to see their big eyes & ear-to-ear grins while they got to meet the horsies.

Mom made sure there were many books about dogs on display for the kids to choose from. This helped a lot.
