Dogs & the 4th don't mix

We've always said that the 4th of July was not our favorite holiday - it just hasn't ever mixed well with dogs.

Okay, this was a set-up. Daddy couldn't resist when Mom was takin silly belly pictures of Misty. And she just laid there - co-operating.

And fortunately, it rained most of today & tonight, so no big boomies outside. Yea, it ruins the holiday for some, but it makes it a nicer experience for all of us.

We hope all of you had a good day without too many boomies.

I hate to be a killjoy myself but I too rejoiced when the rain came down. The 4th doesn't mix with babies either so am glad we weren't plagued with too many boomies too. Happy 4th!

Well, as it turns out, the boro decided to do our fieworks anyway. Poor Misty really does need that drink now! She's the one who doesn't like the boomies the most.

eventhough we didn't get many illegal fireworks, the thunder did enough damage

Hahaha that is too funny. Maybe she was still tired from the dog park fun.

We warned Shadow that the neighborhood diheards which can't survive without their illegal fireworks and noisy things are likely to go out and play tonight and this weekend. She'll be living underneath the dining room table for awhile.

Oh you'all, my Dad loves this photo. He's says that's his kind of dog. What a way to end the evening. Mom says Cubby and General are probably having a grand old time watching us. She's
glad you'all liked hearing about him.
