Measuring
Hi! It me, Chai! Here I am with my daddy and Tiki Ted. Genny is peeking in too. We had a nice weekend celebrating Daddy. I really love my new daddy. He plays with me and makes sure I am safe, just what a daddy is for. He wants to take pictures of me next to Tiki Ted every week or so to see how much I grow over time. So, Here I am posing like a good girl. I wonder when I will be taller than Ted.Until next time, Arf!

Learning
Hi! It's Chai again. I am learning all about the Stoutino Inn and about myself too. Mom took me to see a really nice vet named Dr Ross. He was so very nice to me - everyone there was nice to me! They gave me snuggles and cookies and told me how cute I was. Mom said I was a very good girl. I weigh 11.7 pounds, but Dr Ross said I was gonna be a very big girl like Genny someday.
We have been taking a lot of walks around the neightborhood. Mom says that a good puppy is a tired puppy, but I am not sure what she means. I am good all of the time. I visit Daddy in his office and help him work. I put all of the toys and bones all together so they do not get lost. And I make sure Mom and Dad don't get lonely at night when it is dark and spooky.
Genny and I have been getting along a little better. We did some zoomies in the back yard today. What great fun! She will warm up to me one of these days.
Today we had a friend come to visit! Her name is Isabeau and Genny says they have been friends for a long time. We had so much fun doing zoomies and exchanging bones and stuff. I like friends a lot. Mom says it is very important to make lots of friends. Isabeau says she is going to get a new baby brother or sister like me soon. I hope we get to play and be friends.
I am all tuckered out, so I will say good night and Arf!

Introducing Chai!

| Here I come! |
I am a Shepherd mix puppy. I was born in the south, but my rescue brought me up north for a better life. I had a brother when mom and dad met me, but he is now in a new home too.

I have lots of comfy places to snooze and a great big yard to play in. I think I am going to like it here. I hope I get to talk to you all often. This is fun.
Until next time, Arf!

It's been a bit Quiet
Hi, everypup! I know, it's been really quiet around here. We have all been missing my dear brother, Shiloh, and we are still adjusting. But the weather has been pretty terrific and we have been spending a lot of time outside.
Mom and dad put a new patio in our yard. They really love it out there now. We even eat out there all of the time - when it's not raining or too buggy.
We have some bird feeders out in the yard. It is fun because when the birdies come to visit I can run up and talk to them! They get so excited that they start to fly around! It is so much fun! Mom thinks I get them too excited - I don't know why. She gets a little overly worried, I think.
But even that can get a little boring, so we took an adventure the other day. We have a bird sanctuary near us. We took a nice long walk and looked for all of the cool birdies.
Mom says that the little birdies were hiding, but we saw some big ones! This is a vulture sunning himself.
We had a great day walking around and smelling the wild roses.
Mom has been worried that I am getting lonely now. I have heard hints that mom and dad are looking for a new brother or sister for me. I better not get used to the simple life, huh? Things may get pretty interesting around here...
Until next time, Roo

The Best Present
Once upon a time, there was a young and handsome dog. As beautiful as he was, he was also very afraid. Someone had hurt him and made him lose trust in humans. Some kindhearted humans brought him into rescue, where he stayed with good people who helped him find his forever home.
It was right before Christmas. His new parents brought a strange tree into the house and decorated it with sparkly lights. Then more people came. The shy and scared husky dove under the tree to hide. He stayed there all night, peeking out from between the presents. Those shy bright blue eyes looking out and wondering what could possibly be happening.
He recovered from that experience and soon learned that the people that came to the house were good people. His mom and dad loved him and were patient. They brought him to school where he could learn new things and meet other dogs and people whom he could trust.
Mom and dad brought him to a magical place called "the park." There he could run free, sniff all of the trees and meet other good dogs.
He had wonderful fur siblings he could play with and hang with. He had good food and a safe place to curl up and relax. He slowly decided that people were not all mean and he would slowly go up to meet them. He would be rewarded with pets and treats.
One day, he did not feel so well. Mom and dad did all that they could, but it was time for this brave boy to go to the Rainbow Bridge. They told him what a good boy he was and how brave he was. They held him and loved him to help him on his way. He is now in a place where there is no fear or pain. He looks over those who loved him.
He was the very best present we could ever receive. He filled our hearts with love and we were honored that he loved and trusted us. His gentle kisses will never be forgotten.
Run free, dear Shiloh
