Meet Chewy!

Haroo, everypuppy! Shiloh here to introduce you to the new youngster, Chewy! He's just been taken in by MaPaw from a shelter today. He was taken there because his family wasn't so nice to him. They left him chained up outside all of the time and not fed enough. Well, our mom will make sure that will change! He's staying with us until another foster space opens up in a week or so. We're all getting on just fine, although Dunkin is being a bit of a Mr. Grumpy Pants cuz Chewy is more puppy than gentleman.
Welcome, Chewy!

Us??? Really, you shouldn't have! Thanks!
Our friend Suki over at Team Husky has given us an award! That's such a nice thing to do! We wish we could give this award to every doggy in blogger land, and loads of you know that you're our Blogging Friends Forever already. Guinness wants her boyfriend, the Extra Handsome Pippa, to know that she think's he's the Bee's Knees, so she sends him the award all the way in Spain. Shiloh gives this special award to Ammy, over at the Army of Four, because she said he was handsome and made him blush. Dunkin gives a special "Shout Out" to everyone who's been praying for him with his seizures.
Here's to good friends, no matter where they be!

Dunkin's Secret Message
Dunkin has a secret message for his friends in blogger land. If anyone can translate it for mom so she understands, just let her know. She's stumped. And as you can see in the video, dad is no help. Shiloh tries to interpret, but his attempts get us nowhere fast. Guinness is nowhere to be seen, so she isn't of any help either. He's obviously trying to say something important. Help!

Pinned!
Haroo all! It's me, Shiloh, reporting in today. I met some new and fun friends at the dog park tonight.Scout really pinned big Sam here, but Sam doesn't look like he minds so very much. Scout also shows us that size really doesn't matter. Both of these doggies were really fun to play and romp with on a cool summer evening.

Here's a nice close up of big Sam.
This little Jack-mix gal sure kept us on our toes too - boy could she jump and run!
I'm just glad I didn't have to walk all of the way home.
Til next time, Woo! Shiloh

At the Zoo

Hello, everyone. Mom reporting in today. Thought we'd share some pictures from our recent trip to the Philadelphia Zoo. The 5th annual Brew at the Zoo festival was held there this year. Beer makers from all over are there for you to taste their brews, you get to enjoy the zoo and raise money for a great cause.

Dad really enjoys this event.

Garden Report
Hark everypup! Guinness, your weather grrl and garden reporter with a pup-date on the happenings at the Stoutino Inn garden. We have heard from Sir Dunkin about the warm weather we've been experiencing the past few days and we are in for a few more days of high humidity and temps. Now onto the garden report. Lots of leafy greens and lettuce growing here along with something mom calls nasturtiums. Mom & Dad like to come out here and pick their dinner or lunch. The leafy greens are taking their time getting big and we can all look forward to those in the fall.

The heat has affected the garden this year. Our tomato plants are not very tall and there is one lone tomato growing. Mom is very upset by this turn of events, as she needs her daily tomato rations and with the news of tainted tomatoes lately, she looked forward to ours for mashing and freezing for sauces and such. The eggplant and the peppers are not doing any better at all. We've only gotten one tiny eggplant and have one single pepper to count at this time
The one vegetable that is not being effected by the high temperatures is the zucchini plant. We've gotten several very large specimens thus far and have more growing, as seen here.
We also have a resident at the Stoutino Inn gardens - a toad! We have yet to be able to capture this illusive creature on film, but he quite startled dad the other day while he was weeding. We aren't sure how he got into the garden with the rabbit wire fencing, but he is welcome to stay as long as he likes. He can eat the bugs that might eat our treasures. At least the fence is keeping out the rabbits like it is supposed too.
That's all for the garden report today, pups. Tomorrow is supposed to be another scorcher, so stay cool. I'll be on the pomegranate sofa with the cool air box blowing over me - that's weather anyone can handle!
Snoses, Guinness
