Dunkin, our newest foster

Meet Dunkin, our newest foster bro. Hes a nine year old bi-eyed sibe who has an interest in hangin out at Dunkin Donuts (that's where they found him as a stray before he was taken into a New Jersey shelter). So, MaPaw decided we should call him Dunkin.

Here Dunkin is helpin daddy surf the internet.

Anywoo, we decided that since Guinness' leg was feelin better, we could give the fostering thing another try, if the foster was a laid back sort. Dunkin fits the bill. So far, he's just getting used to his name and chillin.

Dunkin only seems to let his brown eyed side be photographed for some odd reason, but ain't he a handsome fellow? He also likes to follow mom around the house and make sure she's stayin out of trouble where ever she goes. He even slept next to her side of the bed last nite. What a nice guy.

Hopefully, he'll feel more comfortable with all of us soon and play a little bit. Maybe he'd like go to the park with us and meet some other doggies! Woo! But we'll have to be careful, there's a Dunkin Donuts on the way to the park and mom likes their coffee - maybe she'll get us some donuts! We'll have to practice our starving and innocent looks.

Shiloh the mighty skeeker hunter

Hawoo, doggie bloggers! We know that we've been slackin in the entry area lately, but it' been kind of low key around our place lately. We've really had to take it easy to help Guinness get better from her injuries. We really appreciate all of the good wishes from everypup for her to get well. Her front leg is now all better and she is under treatment for what we hope is a soft tissue injury to her back leg that will heal soon with rest.
Shiloh, however, is not taking a rest! You could even say he's going a bit stir crazy with no one to husky play with. The weather hasn't really helped - all that rain and now bitter cold that mom & dad don't like to go out in. It's enough to make a husky squirrely!

Here is Shiloh, the mighty hunter of Skeeker Squirrel! That is one thoroughly de-squeaked squirrel laying beneath him. Shiloh has never really had a thing for toys until now, but Santa Paws must have known something that mom & dad didn't, cuz this skeeker squirrel is just the bee's knees. (to quote the AO4). It never seems to leave Shiloh's side for very long. Guinness even lets Shiloh have all of the squirrel fun, preferring her free-bee over anything else.

She won't be playin freebee for a while tho - not til her leg is better. Until then, she gets pampered like the queen that she is and all of the pomegranate couch time she wants.

Mom's been chillin too. These cold days have gotten her a lil' squirrely. So, she's been crocheting away inside where it is nice and warm. A sweater is 3/4 done, an afghan has begun, and she just finished her very first pair of crocheted socks! They aren't perfect, but now she knows what she needs to do to make them that way and maybe even make some for dad - who has the biggest paws we have ever seen!
Keep warm until next time!

And then sometimes things don't work out

Well, it's been a while since we've reported in and we have some sad news. Kenna had to go to another foster home because she was bullying Guinness too much. In fact, Guinness ended up getting hurt on her front leg because of Kenna's bully tactics. All better now, but it really scared mommy & the dad. Kenna was a good dog most of the time, but she'd really give Guinness a hard time, especially when we all went outside to the yard or if she wanted to play. So, say a little prayer for Kenna, she needs to learn a few things so she can get adopted to the right home. We'll just be chillin and recovering for a bit before the next foster comes to our house. We think we'll take a hint from our pal, Pippadog, and go snose dad a few times. We like that word - snose. hee hee

Aw, Shucks

We've been given an award! Echo, over at the Daily Echo, says we're one of the bloggers who brings him happiness! Well, shucks, we're so very honored - and humbled cuz we've been feeling a bit like blogger slackers lately. Echo certainly deserved the award himself and he certainly made our day.

The rules are to pass the award along to up to 10 bloggers whose blog brings you happiness & inspiration and makes you feel happy about Blogland. Echo and the Army of Four have named lots of deserving folks for this award already, so we're passing it on to all of these great doggies (and hamsterberians!) at these blogs:

Secret Santa

It took us long enough to get mom to sit down at the ol' laptop and get her to share the pics of us opening our Secret Santa gifts, but here they are.

Here's Kenna poking her nose in the box to check things out.

Shiloh here investigating his package to open, which turned out to be a very cool doggie ornament with lil bones all over it.

Guinness has a very lady-like approach to this gift opening thing.

Kenna has a more direct approach

"Hey, that doesn't look like me!" But Shiloh approves highly.
We want to thank our MaPaw Secret Santa for the bewootiful ornaments, (the personalized ones were a great touch!) and the realy cool stocking. Santa Paws was especially good to us this year. We hope everyone's christmas was a very good one.
as for the quiz...Kenna on the left; Guinness was on the right

Getting Settled at the Inn

As you can see, Kenna is making herself right at home at the ol' Stoutino Inn. She has discovered the comfort of the pomegranate couch and her love of the squeaky tennis/football thing. She's a good grrl who knows a lot more that we gave her credit for at first. She does respond to her name and simple commands. We think that awful shelter had her very confused and gave her a bad case of kennel cough too.

Now, a quiz - which dog is which?

Mom hasn't been feeling well either. She's been coughing as much or more than Kenna - daddy joked that she got kennel cough too. Mom says he's not very funny.

Here is Kenna taking in the view and waiting for dad to come home from wrrrk. It's nice that she already looks after him so well.
Only 3 days until Santa Paws comes! We can hardly wait to see what our Secret Santa has sent to us. We'll be sure to take loads of pictures.
We hope he brings everyone all the joy and warmth of a good snuggle and a kiss on the snooter.

No Fair!

Mommy got her present for Christmas already and she won't let us have ours early. No Fair!!!
