Shiloh the mighty skeeker hunter

Hawoo, doggie bloggers! We know that we've been slackin in the entry area lately, but it' been kind of low key around our place lately. We've really had to take it easy to help Guinness get better from her injuries. We really appreciate all of the good wishes from everypup for her to get well. Her front leg is now all better and she is under treatment for what we hope is a soft tissue injury to her back leg that will heal soon with rest.
Shiloh, however, is not taking a rest! You could even say he's going a bit stir crazy with no one to husky play with. The weather hasn't really helped - all that rain and now bitter cold that mom & dad don't like to go out in. It's enough to make a husky squirrely!

Here is Shiloh, the mighty hunter of Skeeker Squirrel! That is one thoroughly de-squeaked squirrel laying beneath him. Shiloh has never really had a thing for toys until now, but Santa Paws must have known something that mom & dad didn't, cuz this skeeker squirrel is just the bee's knees. (to quote the AO4). It never seems to leave Shiloh's side for very long. Guinness even lets Shiloh have all of the squirrel fun, preferring her free-bee over anything else.

She won't be playin freebee for a while tho - not til her leg is better. Until then, she gets pampered like the queen that she is and all of the pomegranate couch time she wants.

Mom's been chillin too. These cold days have gotten her a lil' squirrely. So, she's been crocheting away inside where it is nice and warm. A sweater is 3/4 done, an afghan has begun, and she just finished her very first pair of crocheted socks! They aren't perfect, but now she knows what she needs to do to make them that way and maybe even make some for dad - who has the biggest paws we have ever seen!
Keep warm until next time!

Cool socks! Purple is my mom's favorite color and it's starting to be mine since I got my purple collar. Glad Guinness's leg is better.

Paws still crossed for pampered Guinness on the pomegranate coach, and lots more snoses for her.

Good for Shiloh with his great new toy.

Great to meet you! You're really, really lucky to live with a militant librarian: they're great!

Woo! An unlimited ticket to the pomegranate couch! That's a very nice prize indeed. Mom likes your purple sockies. She got cozy warm slippers for Christmas that she wears all the time and says they're "no paws allowed!" slippers. She doesn't share very nicely.

Sweet socks! Is that the 'Looks Knit Good Fit' pattern, or whatever the hell they're called? What kind of yarn did you use? I love them! Go crochet!

Glad Guiness is healing up.
