Ciao, everybuddy. Bacci reporting in today. Mom says I have a new job as Quilt Assistant. She spread this quilt backing onto our living room floor - the only space in our house where it would fit - so she could make a quilt "sandwich." Well, anything to do with food and I am there! So I helped myself to part of the sandwich by lounging on the backing. I'm still waiting for the sandwich to appear, however. No food was involved in this process at all! She just made layers of fluffy white stuff called batting and then more fabric that's she's been piecing together on top. The batting was kind of fun - it reminded me of the snow outside, but not wet and cold. As you can see, Guinness was overseeing the work as well, hoping for her own job - but she's our Weather Grrl, so she already has a job.Anyroo, foster mom said that I was a very big help to her, keeping everything in place like that, so she gave me the job of Quilting Assistant. It will be my job to oversee the sandwich part of the process and make sure that every pup in the house contributes copious amounts of dog hair to each quilt, making them extra warm and fluffy. It's a big responsibility! I wonder what I get paid for this extra service? hmmmm.....we'll have to talk....

Great job. Wish I has one like dat. Maw works with beads,charms, paints, rhinestones. She has to keep an eye on us so we don't make off wid all the goods and eats dem.

Woo, Bacci! That whole "sandwich" thing confused me for the longest time! I have as YET to see any food in the Quilt Studio at our house. It's a cruel hoax! I'm still happy to help in there as my mom's Guide Dog for the Color Blind, though - I get lots of alone time with her and tummy rubs and ear scratchies and stuff.
You did an outstanding job holding that backing down! I can't wait to see the quilt!!!
