Hello all, mom here. I'm a little worried - Not only am I addicted to blogging, but I am apparently on some sort of Martha Stewart inducing crack, because I've gotten this craft bug lately that will not quit. Yesterday, I get this fabulous idea to do scrap book like holiday cards. Seriously, who does this? It must be drugs, because doing this for 200 some cards is just insane. But here is the proof. Haven't done them all yet, but I'm definitely committed now. And, if that wasn't enough, I've been having this urge to make gifts this year. What the ???? I've been crocheting like my Italian grandmother for weeks.
Really, should I be worried?

You and our mom would be dangerous together. Yesterday, she took apart some crystal earrings that were her grandma's and made new earrings for the "girls" on that side of the family. Kind of cool ...but why does she do these things?
Mom doesn't knit or crochet, but wishes she did. Her mom just sent her a scarf she knitted from bamboo yarn. It's almost as soft as US! And it's my favorite color. Blwooooooooooooo!
Luv,
Dave
Don't feel so bad. Our mom ordered a whole mess of scrap booking card stuff and it came in last week. And now she's got the crochet patterns out to make snowflakes for the tree. And today she ordered a felt tree skirt kit to make. There's stuff everywhere.

Wow... 200 cards! Your mom has a lot of work ahead of her!

You most certainly should NOT be worried, you should be proud of yourself! Of course, I'm on a mission to crochet 5 blankets by Christmas - I've already made 2 tea cozies and one of the blankets. So maybe somebody's slipping me the same kind of crack.
My mom does some of those card things. Wilbur always gets in trouble for trying to mess it up. Mom participated in the Northern Breed card exchange this year and made cards for people. The cards had to feature northern breeds. She's gotten some really cool cards from other people so far. Maybe you can do that next year!

It sounds as tho I am not alone - oh good! Sally, thatks for cheering me up! I miss you at the knitting group.
Dave, I'm just gonna havta teach your mom to knit or crochet when I get a chance to visit. You can help her pick yarn.
Mayamarie, I've been tempted to do those snowflakes myself!
Kat, that card exchane sounds like fun!
I think you need to give mistress a bit of serious encouragement.
It's so long since she did anything useful it is before my time.
Athough she makes toast. does that count?
