Mystery print

Haroo everypup!  We know that it has been a while since we've posted.  We have a good excuse - mom and dad went on a trip for a few weeks and took the darn computer with them!  Can you believe it?

Anyroo, while they were gone, dad went on a hiking trip and found this neato paw print.  We know that is wasn't a canine who made it, but we think it was a wild cat!  Dad loves nature,but he says this made him a wee bit nervous.

They also got a LOT of snow during their trip.  All of that beawootiful snow and we were not there to play in it!  These two have all the fun.

We had fun too.  Genny and I went to our friends houses to play while mom & dad were away.  But we are so glad that mom & dad are home safe and sound, just in time to put the cold boxes in so we can stay cool and comfy.  Bet they are wishing for that snow now that the first heat wave of summer is here.  What is a husky to do?

We're Famous! Sort of....

Haroo everypup!  Gennyfur here, intrepid reporter.  We've got some really awesome news.  We're famous....sort of....

We were interviewed on a terrific blog that features all sorts of rescues.  Savannah, the kitty hostess, interviewed us and it is newly published, so go visit her blog, Savannah's Paw Tracks.

We tried really hard to make sure we were interesting.  I had to do a lot of convincing to get Shiloh to speak.  But, wow, once he got started!  Savannah is a great journalkitty and asked us really great questions.

She helped us out a lot, this bein our first real interview.  Mostly, i just report on when it's breakfast or dinner time.  I am also Mom's official GPS - Genny Positioning System.

We want to thank Savannah for bein so great and allowing us to share our stories with others.  understanding rescue animals, especially the ones like Shiloh, is really important so we all get a fair shot at a furever home.

Shiloh says, "Go read Savannah's blog.  But first, give me a cookie"  He's using his Paul Newman eyes, so you'd better go quick!

Down on the farm

Mom & Dad took us on an adventure this weekend. We went to visit the MaPaw Farm! We met two fun dogs there. Gabby is the one with big ears. Niko is the Border Collie. There were a couple of other pups too, but the pictures weren't so good. We had fun gettin to know each other and visiting the great folks who helped us find our forever home at the Stoutino Inn.

Visiting Friends

Hi everypup! I am so excited! My bestest friend, Isabeau is visiting us for 2 whole weeks! Her sister, Blondie is too, but Mom didn't get a picture of her yet. Izzy, we call her Izzy, is a pit mix and the sweetest most fun gal! She loves to play and she is always given people kisses. It is gonna be so very fun to have visitors.

In other news, Shiloh is feeling so much better that he is adventuring up stairs to Mom's studio again. I am glad. He's back to his old self again, my smiley big bro.

We hear our friends, Zim & Dave are getting tons of snow. We wish they would send some our way. We also hope that everyone out there stays safe.

Working from home

Mondays are not anyone's favorite day of the week. Even though we are working breed dogs, it usually means less time with Mom & Dad.

Mom woke up this morning feeling poorly, so she decided to stay nome. Dad gave it a thought and said he could work from home today too!

However, this means an adjustment in our workflow schedule. I mean, Shiloh and I have a pretty set routine.

1. Be sure to wake up Mom. Don't wait for that alarm clock thing, she can turn that off.
2. A brisk but short outing to invigorate our appetite.
3. Be sure that Mom feeds us a nutritious breakfast.
4. Be sure that Mom or Dad takes us out one more time before they leave for work.
5. Check to be sure they get into their cars safely.
6. Have a meeting with Shiloh and prioritize our tasks. Use the pomegranate couch as meeting room.
7. Keep hydrated and take breaks often to avoid burnout
8. Keep a vigilant eye out for the mail. The best vantage point is sitting on the 5th step from the bottom of the staircase.
9. After taking care of the mail, have another pow wow with Shiloh to be sure we are on schedule.
10. When we hear Mom's car pull into the driveway, we greet her at the front door to be sure she is safe and sound. Then immediately insist that the back door be opened so we can be out of her way while she prepares our dinner.
11. After each meal, make sure that Mom remembers our peanut butter dessert. (Mom sneaks Shiloh his medicine in this, but I get some too so he thinks it is dessert)
12. Allow her to pet us vigorously and tell us all about her day while she checks the mail and decides what to make Dad for dinner.
13. When Dad finally comes home, we greet him too. Then we meet him on the pomegranate couch for a debriefing.

But, as today was a work at home day, Shiloh and I needed to adapt the schedule to include both of them. Mom was laying down a lot, since she wasn't feeling good. We checked on her several times to be sure she didn't over do it.

Dad worked at his computer all day and had conference calls. We checked on him often too, to be sure he took breaks to avoid eye strain. We also sometimes try to be part of the conference call to network with his coworkers.

To avoid carpel tunnel syndrome, here I am letting him rub my tummy instead of using that mouse thing.

A working dog's work is never done. I had better go and be sure they stay on task. Here's to a great work week!
