Near and Far

She's right behind me, isn't she?  Sigh....

And Then There is Another One

Well, that was a quick turn of events.  Nika was adopted before we new it and in came another foster!  Just like the last one!

This is Sasha.  You can tell by the freckles on her nose and smudgy eyeliner.  She is even tinier (35 lbs) than Nika, and, as you can see, Sasha fits in very small spaces.

Sasha is a frisky gal too and likes to get into things she shouldn't.  Mom and dad are trying to teach her manners - she is just so very energetic!

And she takes my toys too!  The nerve of these puppies!  Am I ever going to get any peace?

Sigh.....

That was fast!

Haroo, everypup!  Genny here with some great news.  The Stoutino Inn is quite a bit quieter now because our foster, Nika, has already been adopted!  We knew she would be quickly, but wow!

Nika went to a MaPaw Meet & Greet at a local Petco and a former MaPaw adopter came with his husky, Chase.  They met Nika and fell in love!

I must say that she was a very good grrl, except for one thing - she took my toys!  She was always taking my toys!

In this picture, you can see that she is making herself at home with her new family by taking Chase's toys!  I hope Chase can tolerate this behavior once everypup gets settled.  They also have a lil cocker mix named Mattie.  She is the boss.  Mom says that Nika will be spoiled rotten in her new house and we are happy for her.

And now I can have my toys back!

I need a break

Shiloh here.  I need a break.  Having a puppy in the house has been fun, but this youngster is non stop energy!  And the noise!  She is a talker.

But Nika is a good grrl.  She likes to play with Genny's toys, so Genny isn't so thrilled all of the time.  Nika loves to play and we wrestle a lot while we are outside.

Nika has also been a big hit at the dog park.  All of the humans coo over her.  I also hear that a family wants to adopt her already.  We will find out more this weekend.

Maybe then I will get a rest.

Exciting news!

We have exciting news to share with everydoggie!  We are fostering again!

Her name is Nika and she is just 11 months old.  We don't know much about her, but she is very sweet and very smart.  although, she's a bit timid.  Mom was heating up her morning cup o joe when she turned on the microwave and Nika was not sure what to make of that noisy thing.

We took her to the dog park today and boy did we all have fun.  Nika loves to play and we ran and we romped.  There were other pups her age to play with too.  We are all good and tired - well, for now anyway.

Stay tuned for more new on Nika and the rest of us.  And thanks for checking in!

Influence

Mom and Dad took us on a walk this afternoon - an unusual occurrence in the middle of the day, but we humored them.  It turns out today is Election Day and they wanted to vote.  They did not let Genny and I go into the polling place or vote - a direct violation of our civil rights.

Some very nice ladies did come over to meet us and told us how beautiful we are.  One lady gushed over my blue eyes.  Then it occurred to me that I have the ability to influence others! Just by looking at them! (Mom always calls this the Paul Newman Effect) I thought about this and have decided to use my powers for good instead of evil.

The first thing I would like to do is lobby in Washington so that this Daylight Savings fiasco is finally put to an end.  I mean, really, it has made it so it gets too dark so very early and cuts into my dog park time.  We were barely there today when Mom & Dad said it was time to go.

I may also do something about this no dogs being allowed to vote thing.  However, that may be a slippery slope to cat suffrage and well, I am not sure about that.  I mean, cats are okay, but it may not be a good idea if they let us both into the same voting place at the same time.

I would be happy to consider suggestions from my fellow canine brothers and sisters, so please do let me know how I can help.

Paws up!
Shiloh

Hello again!

Haroo, everypup!  Shiloh here with some neato photos from our fall excursion to the dog park.  I know what you're thinking - we never do anything else!  We do, but mom hardly ever remembers to bring her camera.

Take this photo of me here.  I am with mom in her studio.  Notice that wet spot on the floor?  Dad is sittin there with a plate of fried chicken and boy does it smell good!  I am being extra handsome and good, hoping to get some.

Meanwhile, at the dog park this morning, we met some new friends.  This frisky grrl here is named Mya.  She was very playful and tried very hard to mix it up with all of the pups.
I think our friends from the Army of Four would agree that this is crazed river otter action at its best.  Genny is teaching Mya some fine moves.  Mya may be small and fast, but my sis has the experience to get the best of her.
This red headed grrl sure is a beauty.  She is also a young one and loves to play with sticks.  Genny is not so interested, but she is trying to be polite.  Genny would rather play ball.
Here I am, surveying my domain and doing a good perimeter check to make sure things are secure.  Wouldn't want anypup to come into harm's way and wander loose.

Thanks for checkin up with us today.  Maybe now that mom's sewing machine is on the fritz, she will let us post more often

Roo,
Shiloh
