Finished! Haroo!

Haroo, puppers! Finally finished! Here is the quilt that mom's been working on - and I helped - to donate to MaPaw. Hopfully in time to raise some money from the Ebay auction we're running right now. It's twin sized and flannel on the back. Any pup or wolf lover would love to snuggle under this one. We'll post the link when it gets posted.

Dog park for Daisy

Haroo, Everyone! Shiloh here. We had a very nice weekend. Mom brought Daisy into our house on Friday. She's a very nice older grrl who just hangs and doesn't bother anyone too much. She likes one of our crates and hangs out there a lot. We thought we needed to get her out and moving.

So, here we are at the dog park. Everyone had a really good time sniffing and snoofing and running around with the other puppies. A Sibe/Sheba mix named Sparky was there. Sparky and Genny really mixed it up! I was busy marking my domain, keeping up my personae as the Lone Wolf.

Genny also likes to play fetch - can you believe it? A nice lady kept throwing the ball for her and she'd just bring it back and ask her to throw it again and again. Grrls, go figure.

Anyroo, here's to a great week!

Why we owe MaPaw one orthopedic dog bed, thanks to Shiloh "Shredderman" Stout.

New foster, Daisy

Meet Daisy, our newest foster at the Inn. She is 14 years young and a very good girl so far. She just came to the Inn tonight, so we''ll have to see how she tolerates the young whipper snappers always wrestling around her. She is supposed to be a sibe/gsd mix, but who knows?

Genny Settles Inn

Well, it's been a few weeks now and we cannot imagine what life could be like without her. Genny is settling in very nicely here at the Inn. She's even taken to using the pomegranate couches, both upstairs and downstairs, as her own personal beds. Genny loves to play with toys and wants to fetch constantly - so we know she's definitely not all husky!

Things have been very good, except that Genny came down with a major upper respiratory infection. So, antibiotics are in order for her to get better - with loads of peanut butter to get them down. She's feeling much better now, but she had us scared there for a bit. Always a new adventure, these doggies!

The vet thinks she's about a year old or so and very healthy other than the upper respiratory thing. She's also very smart and knows lots of commands already. She will start obedience school once she gets better. Who knows, maybe some therapy work will be in her future? She is certainly friendly enough and cares very much about the human happenings around her.

Sorry for the lack of pictures. I must admit it's my own darned fault. Never have the camera ready when I need it! Bad mom! I vow to try an do better in the near future, but I thought I had better get a post in here to keep you all interested.

Until next time,
Mom
